5 Myths About Removing Makeup From Your Face. You Should Never Do This!

DO NOT WASH OFF MICELLAR LIQUID AND MILK

Cosmetics manufacturers compete with each other in promises , but few people know how to use make -up removers correctly . According to Bożena Społowicz, the first Polish skin coach, milk should not be used by applying it to a dry cotton pad and rubbing it face . This is one of the biggest cosmetic myths . First, wet your face with water , squeeze out an appropriate portion of the milk , mix it with a little water in the palm of your hand and massage your face , dissolving the make-up . Only now collect the excess cosmetic with a cotton gauze compress or optionally with a cotton pad and wash your face with water . The specialist recommends washing your face in the same way after using micellar fluid . Although manufacturers promise that it removes make-up without using water , then aggressive cleansing agents remain on our skin for the whole night . To prevent this and not sensitize the skin, it is necessary to wash your face with water after finishing make-up removal .

YOU ARE PERFORMING MAKEUP REMOVAL WITH YOUR HAIR LOOSE

The devil is in the details ! If you remove your make-up with your hair loose , there is a good chance that you are avoiding your hairline and ears . This is where sebum , dust, sweat and remnants of colour cosmetics that you used to do and finish your make-up tend to accumulate . If you have bangs , you probably know that your forehead gets oily faster . As a result , your pores can become clogged , and a delicate sebum or small pimples appear on your skin . When removing make - up , we recommend also taking care of the hairline above the nape of your neck and caring for your neck and nape , where surprises can also appear at the hairline , especially during hot weather . Besides , I do n't think any of us like it when strands stick to our face and interfere with our care routine . So tie them in a bun, ponytail or simply use a headband . Do you want it to be even more pleasant and comfortable ? Use our Bunny Ears headband to transform you into a cute bunny ! Now the hair is away from the face and removing makeup can be pleasant and very thorough .

SKIN RUBBING

This is probably the most common sin committed by busy women . We know it! The day was active , exhausting , you are already tired , you want to be in bed so much , and you still have to wash off your make-up , after all , everyone is telling you that it is so important . So you grab a cotton pad , a cotton compress or a washing glove and in a hurry you rub your face , pulling it in all directions . Unfortunately , such action can cause a lot of damage that is not noticeable for years . In the long run, rubbing and stretching the skin affects the formation of wrinkles . You should be most careful with the skin around your eyes . At the same time , it is usually the eyes that are the most heavily made up . Mascara is a minimum, but what do fans of eyeliner , eye shadow , pencils or eyebrow markers have to say ... Eye framing really changes a lot in the appearance of the face , adds shine to the eyes and draws attention to them . And camouflaging dark circles under the eyes ? Concealers, illuminating bases and powder on top of all that . No wonder there are so many layers of color to remove from the eye area . Remove eye makeup very , very gently . Not only will you prevent premature wrinkles around the eyes , but you will also not weaken your eyelashes and eyebrows . Or maybe you have eyelash extensions ? You know better how delicate you have to be so as not to damage this intricate structure . So how do you remove eye makeup ?
  1. First, place a cotton pad soaked in makeup or your favorite GLOV on your eye and allow the makeup to soften.
  2. Now, with slow, very gentle movements, always in the direction in which your eyelashes grow, move the cotton pad or GLOV downwards, collecting the makeup.
  3. Repeat until all makeup is removed.
Thorough eye makeup removal will help you avoid the panda effect after waking up and will keep your skin looking young for longer.

TOO HARSH CLEANSING AGENTS

Contrary to appearances , it is easy to overdo it . If you have problematic , oily skin , you may be using chemicals that are too harsh to remove your makeup . You want to get rid of excess sebum , but in the end you are washing away the skin's hydrolipid coat and thus exposing it to dehydration , dryness and bringing it into a state of imbalance . Guess what the body's reaction is to such actions . Yes! Even more sebum , which is supposed to protect the skin from damage . Regardless of the skin type , it is best to use very gentle but effective cleansing , which will not strip the skin of its hydrolipid coat and will not disturb the natural pH ( which is from 3.5 to 5.5). If the skin's pH tends towards alkaline , which happens when you use too strong chemicals , pimples , redness , flaking of the skin, hypersensitivity to the cosmetics used and dryness appear . Therefore , remember to use dedicated makeup removers , and then use a toner or hydrolate . Read and analyze the compositions to find out which ingredients in cosmetics to avoid ( these will be some alcohols), and which are mild cleansing agents ( e.g. saponins). Phew ... good makeup removal is a piece of knowledge that you need to acquire so as not to harm yourself . You can always choose GLOV Comfort , which does not disturb the pH, and only water is needed for its use , so you can forget about reading the compositions !

HYGIENE OF MAKE-UP REMOVAL ACCESSORIES

You already know that you should wash your makeup brushes and sponges often so as not to spread bacteria on your face . Great , but do you remember that you should do the same with the accessories you use to remove makeup ? A konjac sponge , a brush or a washing glove must be well cleaned to fulfill their function as they should . It 's not just about the remains of colored cosmetics or dirt that accumulates on your face all day , but also the moisture itself . Accessories can become a breeding ground for fungi and bacteria, so they should be washed or washed thoroughly after each use . At GLOV , we recommend washing your gloves after each makeup removal , fortunately, you can do it easily and quickly with GLOV Magnet Cleanser , but gray soap will also fulfill this function . If you use cotton pads or cotton compresses to remove makeup , remember to replace them with clean ones as soon as they get dirty . Never leave a nearly clean cotton pad for the next make-up removal . Even if it seems clean to the naked eye , it will be dusty by the next time you wipe your face , and invisible bacteria can multiply on it . We definitely prefer less waste solutions , because you really need a lot of cotton pads for proper make-up removal .
