Charlotte Tilbury – Brushes as an Extension of Your Hands
Charlotte Tilbury is considered by some to be the greatest make-up artist of all time. She has worked for the biggest fashion magazines: Elle, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar. She learned to work with brushes and colours from her father, a painter. Her trademark is a line on the eye made with eyeliner (allegedly, she never goes to bed without applying it). She often says that make-up brushes are an extension of her hand. Tilbury is happy to share her experience and talks, among other things, about contouring, in which, in her opinion, the most important thing is products with a luminous finish. The highlighter should be placed on the tops of the cheekbones and on the temples, applied with a blender brush. If you want to optically slim your nose, move the blender with a pearl highlighter on both sides of the nose, and then under its tip "like windshield wipers in a car". Get a set of GLOV Hollywood Collection brushes, familiarize yourself with their purpose and remember that both the type of brush you use and the movement you use to guide it are very important.
Magdalena Pieczonka: beauty blender will help you apply layers
In Poland, we also have the brilliant Magdalena Pieczonka, who is responsible for the looks of Maja Sablewska and Sonia Bohosiewicz, among others. Pieczonka loves working with a beauty blender. The GLOV Mango Sponge makeup sponge packs foundation firmly, which makes it easier to apply layers. Pieczonka advises to cover the entire face with foundation, and then add it where the skin requires it, in which a beauty blender will be very helpful. When it comes to foundation, it is worth following the advice of Cecilia Muench, creative director of Inglot, who suggests that foundation can be thickened by mixing it with a little bit of loose powder (really a little, because too much will cause the foundation to stick together).
Kasia Zaremba – How to Remove Waterproof Makeup
The stunning looks of stars such as Ewa Chodakowska, Natasza Urbańska or Magdalena Różdżka are often the result of their make-up artist, Kasia Zaremba. Kasia is happy to share information about her work. For example, she suggests that waterproof mascara or eye shadows are best removed with a two-phase eye make-up remover, where you need to pour it over a cotton pad and hold it against your eye for a few moments so that it has time to dissolve the waterproof substances. The same liquid can be used to remove waterproof lipstick from your lips. If you have combination and sensitive skin, prone to allergies, the Glov Comfort glove can help you remove make-up.
Niki Metz – an egg as a facelift " As a little girl, I watched my mother apply egg whites to her face (especially around the eyes) about an hour or two before going to a special event. She would take one egg, separate it and beat the egg white, then apply it to the whole face and leave it for 20 minutes. Then she would wash it off with lukewarm water and immediately apply makeup. Egg white tightens the skin and wrinkles, giving a temporary lift," reveals Niki Metz, artistic director of Jouera. We confirm: egg whites brilliantly smooth, elasticize the skin, and additionally provide it with essential nutrients. You can wash them off with delicate, reusable Moon Pads . The secret of beautiful lips according to Mario Dedivanovic Mario Dedivanovic, makeup artist for Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardas, among others, starts perfect lip makeup with... a toothbrush. With its help, he advises exfoliating the lips, thanks to which you will remove dry skin and the lipstick will look really beautiful. Every once in a while, it's also worth exfoliating your lips, which can be done with the Glov Scrubex - the first reusable accessory on the market for gentle but very effective exfoliation. Dedivanovic "sells" the idea of easy cleaning of brushes or makeup removal gloves. Just dip them in a cleaning agent made from baby shampoo and a few drops of tea tree oil, which has antiseptic, antibacterial and antiviral effects. Also, have Magnet Cleanser soap on hand, which will help keep your brushes clean, beautifully scented and non-static.
What to do to shine with inner glow and how to lift the complexion with blush? James Vincent – Lady Gaga and Liv Tayler’s makeup artist, loves working with blush, which he considers one of the most important cosmetics. His tip for achieving a radiant complexion is incredibly simple – apply blush under foundation, which will give the skin an inner glow. In turn, a delicate orange-toned blush, applied to the upper part of the cheekbones, will give the effect of skin tightening. Vincent encourages “lightening” the makeup. Choosing a navy blue mascara instead of black can also help with this.
