What does eco mean
? There are many alternatives to the classic gel, foam or micellar fluid! You can choose from consistencies, textures, scents and create your favorite beauty rituals
. Today we share eco-friendly ways to remove makeup with the hope that you will share your favorite tricks with us. Okay, let's start! First of all, you need to know that you ca n't avoid chemicals
in cosmetics , because everything has its chemical composition . When we talk about " eco " and "chemical-free" cosmetics , we usually mean that these are not strong detergents that will leave our face dry , irritated , stripped of its hydrolipid coat . So what are we looking for ? Natural plant extracts , hydrolates , clays and food ingredients . Let's see what options we have .
MAKE-UP REMOVAL POWDERS
Make-up remover powders are natural and easy to transport . They will be liked by girls who travel a lot by plane , where there is a limit when it comes to liquids that we can carry with us . Their next advantage is the multitude of applications . According to the manufacturers' promises ,
you can make a cleansing paste , a mask , or even a tonic
from them . Their compositions are usually short and based on clay (bingo! Exactly the same as in masks !), ground oatmeal , which has an
antioxidant effect , soothes skin
irritations and contains saponins, i.e. natural cleansing agents . As additives, we
can also often find ground herbs , essential oils or fragrances . The powder is mixed with milk , hydrolate or simply water , until a thick paste
is obtained , which is then applied to a moistened face . With a little determination , you can make such a cosmetic yourself . All you need is a coffee grinder and sample compositions obtained from manufacturers to create your own makeup removal mixture tailored to your needs .
ECO MAKEUP REMOVER CREAMS
This is a suggestion for fans of oil - based make -up removal . Creams usually have the consistency of black soap sold in a jar . They contain mixtures of
natural oils , such as olive oil ,
sweet almond oil ,
sunflower oil , etc. Of course , to make the consistency creamy , you have to thicken it . Here, butters such as cocoa butter , Shea butter or beeswax most often appear . Extracts and plant extracts and fragrance compositions may also appear . Be careful , however, because not all creams are the same . Many brands have creams in their assortment , but those available in classic drugstores will usually be packed with chemicals . Also , remember that eco- creams for removing make-up are intended for dry skin . Oily skin will not be happy with beeswax and oils in the composition !
MAKEUP REMOVAL PASTE
It
actually works on a similar principle to powder , but you get it in the form of a paste and you
don't have to dilute it with anything . It is still based on oat flakes or ground almonds , sunflower seeds and clays . The addition will be fragrance oils and probably preservatives , so that such a paste does not become a breeding ground for microorganisms , bacteria or mold . Some people praise this type of cleansing , especially if the pastes contain pieces of flowers , e.g. lavender or when the almonds , seeds or petals are not too finely ground , which allows for gentle exfoliation of the face at the same time .
ALEPPO SOAP
If Melchior , Balthazar and Caspar were women , you can be sure that one of them would bring Aleppo soap as a gift ! Why ? Because it is incredibly good , free from SLS and parabens , and is based on olive oil and laurel oil in various concentrations . This soap may not smell like violets , but it is designed for the care of
oily , combination skin and those struggling with clogged pores . It
thoroughly cleanses and accelerates the healing of wounds after imperfections . Laurel oil has an antiseptic effect , and olive
oil has a moisturizing effect . If your skin is dry, choose a soap that contains 5% to 10% laurel oil . Combination and normal skin
will like a soap with an oil content of 10% to 20%. Those with oily skin that contains more than 20% laurel oil will benefit
the most , and those with
severe acne will benefit the most
from a soap that
contains more than 40% . Unfortunately, Aleppo soap is very strong and can dry out the skin , so it
is recommended to use it only once a day and start with the lowest laurel oil content , gradually moving to soaps with a higher content . And although this soap is truly ecological and natural , it is impossible not to mention that it is absolutely not suitable for removing make-up from the eye area ! It is too irritating for the mucous membrane , it cleans pores , it can alleviate seborrhea in the T
zone , but
you will need a
dedicated cosmetic to remove mascara and eyeliner . It is
also worth knowing that the more laurel oil , the greater the
astringent effect . Remember to always use a toner after using Aleppo soap .
GLOV MAKEUP REMOVING GLOVE
Ha! Now that's
a treat ! It 's not a cosmetic , but it's definitely an
ecological solution . You 'll like
it if you wholeheartedly support the #lesswaste idea . The secret to the operation of washing gloves and cloths is fiber technology ! The solutions we 've
been working on in our laboratories have allowed us to create gloves for every skin type. Oily skin needs more exfoliation and a peeling effect
. We've got it! Dry skin ,
for a change, should be given some care and washed with a delicate material , almost like the fur of a fluffy bunny .Checked ! There are also normal skins that do not need excessive stimulation or gentle treatments . Bingo! Microfibers work better the warmer the water you wet them with . However, avoid hot water , as it unnecessarily dilates the blood vessels on your face , and we don't want that . The warm water that GLOV soaks up dissolves makeup and helps the fibers absorb it without rubbing the skin. GLOV removes lip and eye makeup ,
bases , foundations , eye shadows , bronzers , whatever you dream of . In addition, you use one glove for
up to three months and... you
don't have to use any gel , micellar fluid , tonic, and it's enough to do the peeling
occasionally , because GLOV, due to its structure ,
already has a
caring function . This is a wonderful option for travelers and those who don't want to mess around with multi-stage care that requires a lot of knowledge , money and time . After using GLOV, you
no longer have to use cosmetics that restore the skin's pH, because GLOV does not change it
. Just pat the cream in and you can go to sleep soundly . And you? What method do you choose? Do you prefer cosmetic chemicals or are you a fan of eco- solutions? What is most important to you in make-up removal? We are dying to know, so let us know below.
