97% of women around the world use a face moisturizer every day. Indian women are the most meticulous in their skin care - in India, 99% of women use a moisturizer! Polish women are not far behind, however. As many as 96% of us use cleansing products and/or face creams. Well done Us! These numbers were provided in April this year by the Nivea brand, which conducted
a global study of skin care habits on a group of 25,000 women aged 14 to 75, from 21 countries around the world. The "Global Face Care & Cleansing Study" leaves no doubt - we know how and like to take care of ourselves. We know the value of a daily face moisturizer and we use it conscientiously. It is not without reason that a moisturizer is the most important cosmetic during a skincare diet. During a cosmetic detox, we leave only what is most needed in our cosmetic bags - and a face moisturizer is exactly such a skin care must-have. A properly selected day cream and night cream will take care of the health and radiant appearance of your facial skin.
Moisturizing cream - what role does it play in minimalist care?
You already know that your skin problems may be caused by “overfeeding” it with nutrients, which you give it in the form of several layers of cosmetics that you apply to your face every day. Micellar fluid, toner, essence, ampoule, serum, moisturising cream (day and night) and a face mask several times a week did their job - your skin began to rebel, and this rebellion manifests itself in pimples, local irritation, redness or dry patches. The skincare diet trend, which came to Europe from South Korea, came to the rescue. Koreans were the first to discover that giving up most cosmetics can bring more benefits than we all expected. Minimalist care is a cosmetic vacation for your skin, during which you leave only a few products in your cosmetics box - face wash gel, toner, day cream with UV filter, night cream and serum. The key element of this care puzzle is a good moisturising cream, which even during a cosmetic vacation provides the skin with the necessary nutrients. Find out which cream is best for your skin type.
Which moisturizer for your skin type?
You should match your face moisturiser, both for day and night, to your skin type. Normal, combination, oily, dry, sensitive or acne-prone - each needs nourishment that will be provided by different ingredients. However, it is important that you provide it from the most natural and valuable sources. Those with
normal skin have the fewest "problems", which usually only need to be cleansed and gently moisturised. The aim of caring for normal skin is to maintain its delicate balance by choosing cosmetics that will neither dry it out excessively nor make it greasy. Your number 1 cosmetic is a light moisturiser, necessarily with a UV filter. It should contain moisturising extracts, e.g. glycerin, vegetable oils, aloe or algae.
Combination skin is most often a combination of dry skin on the cheeks and oily skin in the T-zone, i.e. on the forehead, nose and chin. To make it not too simple and predictable, it also happens that the skin on the cheeks is simply normal skin - and only the center of our face causes slight problems. A moisturizing cream for combination skin should simultaneously normalize those parts of the face that become excessively oily and moisturize and protect dry areas that lack a protective layer (i.e. sebum). Both zones need moisturizing, so your cream should primarily have a moisturizing effect.
Oily (also called seborrheic) skin suffers from disorders of the sebaceous glands, which secrete excessive amounts of sebum. Additionally, oily skin can be thick, covered with blackheads and have an earthy or gray-yellow shade. In addition to thoroughly cleansing oily skin, in the morning and evening, you also need to... moisturize it. Yes, drying out oily skin will cause even more sebum secretion. Invest in a moisturizer that contains retinol, vitamin E, or B vitamins. Ingredients like clay, zinc, and seaweed are also great.
A type of skin that behaves similarly to oily skin is
acne skin. However, it can cause many more problems. First of all, excessive sebum secretion is accompanied by a massive attack of blackheads, pimples, and even purulent spots. Acne is a skin disease that should be treated by a dermatologist first. Your doctor will probably prescribe you medication, the effects of which you can support at home, for example, with an acne skin cream containing zinc, a complex of flavonoids and polyphenols, and vitamin C. It will not only support you in the fight against acne, but also in the fight against the passage of time. ;)
Dry skin secretes too little protective sebum, is tight, burns and itches, is prone to irritation, and simply causes great discomfort, which is a subjective feeling - every owner of dry skin describes it in her own words. First of all, you need to nourish, lightly grease and protect dry skin. Look for a face moisturizer that protects your complexion from the harmful effects of external factors and provides rich nourishment. Raspberry seed oil, apple and peach fruit juices, hyaluronic acid, argan oil or ginseng root extract are substances that will take care of the well-being of your dry skin.
BB and CC creams - care and make-up in one
If makeup is a daily ritual that you are inextricably linked to, combine pleasure with utility and (get) acquainted with BB and CC creams. First, let's explain how one differs from the other. BB Cream - Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm - is a universal combination of care and delicate coverage. BB Cream is a moisturizing face cream and foundation in one, which will moisturize, protect and cover the complexion with a light layer of color. However, its coverage is subtle. If you want a stronger face correction, you should stick to two separate cosmetics - a cream and a face foundation. CC Cream - Color and Care or Color and Correct - is a higher level of care. Developed on the basis of the action of BB cream, it has gained an additional effect in the form of improving the condition of the skin. CC creams mattify, soothe and regenerate the skin and offer a slightly better level of coverage than BB cream. CC creams are recommended for people with slightly more demanding skin, e.g. vascular or acne.

Homemade facial moisturizer - is it worth it?
In previous posts, we convinced you to make homemade cosmetics, which you can make based on simple ingredients available, for example, in the online store ZrobSobieKrem.pl. On the website, you will find ready-made recipes for face toners, scrubs or shower gels. However, in the case of such an important cosmetic as a face cream, we recommend great caution. Without professional knowledge on how to combine ingredients and in what proportions, and without 100% certainty about the effect they have on our skin - you can actually do more harm than good. On our domestic beauty market, we have many great brands offering natural cosmetics for facial care - choosing them alone will be quite a challenge for you :)
